It is beyond belief

It seems we are seeing a process of reverse evolution in this country, you could not describe the people carrying out these attacks as human.

Thats weird, I was gonna put a thread up about this earlier, but forgot.

I just can't see what the script is.

Why attack firemen? Just seems bloody odd. Have I missed a news item or a documentry or something that claimed all firemen are terrorists and need teaching a lesson or what?

Like f&*k they have. The NHS trusts have realised that it is cheaper to print off a few a4 posters done with clipart, and to ask the police nicely to nick the mad bu99er with the syringe, than it is to suffer to court costs of compensation claims from the poor underpaid angels who staff out hospitals.

I suppose you'll be claiming that the railways no tolerance stuff is down to the gurning freak we call PM?

These s should be strung up!
I know of several firefighters who have left the service due to this very thing, petrol bombs, concrete slabs, even stabbings of firefighters while they do their duty!

It is just ridiculous, these scrotes should be thrown in the fire rather than have it put out!

we have been chatting about this in the office today, we would set the hoses on them that would knock some sense into them...but then knowing the great country we live in they would get sued/sent to jail for defending yourself

Could never understand this type of activity. What motivates them to behave like this?

Maybe firemen should treat some people like the firemen in "Fahrenheit 451".

The kind of human effluent that does these kinds of things will only really understand one type of treatment/deterrent:

Public corporal punishment IMHO.

The strikes caused a lot of friction with the police. Two of my colleagues (same force, not same nick) crashed on a blue light run. One died by the time the Army got him out of the wreckage. They do deserve more money, but not at the cost of lives.

Back on track... what really annoys me is those who assault paramedics and nurses. At least fire fighters tend to be burly blokes. Why would you hurt someone who's only role is to help you?

No, there's no logic there, but there is a reason. They do it because they can.

Problem with the way the law is enforced in this country is that it isn't enforced visibly enough. Scrotes who assault firemen are probably more aware of the legal protection they're entitled to than the penalties for assaulting emergency service workers. Now couple that with a blind disrespect for authority ingrained in the families, and the typical yob 'need' to make oneself and one's powers known to as many people as possible, and the thrill they get watching destruction (regressive minds), and now you see why they throw stuff at firefighters.

A combination of defective parenting, rights culture, and a police force that aren't allowed to turn up on the scene and bundle the yobs into the van because they'll claim some right or other, and there you have it.

So no, there isn't any logic to it, and that's what crime increasingly represents in this country - people don't just think they'll get away with their impulsive actions, they know they will, and there won't be the police powers to stop them either.

I wouldn't say it's logical, but I think the idea from their perspective is that if you start a fire you want to see it burn out.

Most of these kids live in such poor areas, with little or no opportunity. They've feel they've been neglected aren't planning on hanging around.

Once they've made a financial killing from crime, they either end up rich or in prison. As a warning to others, to make a show of their disrespect, and to vent anger, they set things alight.

At least that's what I propose.

Then can't they just set fire to each other...

The firemen wouldn't have put them out, the other kids would get to see something burn, and they'll even get a lift out of the estate. Something for everyone.
