Anyone else going? Just booked my weekend ticket.

Anyone been before? Would a TVR Chim be safe in a festival carpark?

In that case, I dont know where they are planning the car park but if its anything like getting out of the car park on race day its a bloody nightmare and to be avoided.

I hear the revitalised Black Sabbath are headlining, along with Metallica. A friend of mine said he'd get us all tickets, but he's gone and been his usual reliable self and unwittingly booked a summer holiday for the same weekend. Bugger.

anyone selling any tickets...? 3 would be good...

Some friends went last year and it took them 3 hours to get out of the car park.....or farmers field, as its more commonly known.

When we went to the GP finals last year, similar story - 1 field + 10,000 cars + one gate = 2 hours of queuing to get out.

They have had a load of investment recently to improve this specific area but I doubt anything will have changed before Download arrives.

Doesnt sound safe to me. Tell you what, I live just down the road from donny, leave it with me for the weekend and I'll 'look after it' for you.

Seriously though, I went last year and it was very good. Not going this year though because there doesnt seem to be any day tickets left and I can't afford the whole weekend.

Touring Cars in the late 90's when it was VERY popular.

Took at least 3 hours to get out through that bloody tunnel.

I think it was designed by Tesco...

The line up looked a bit dodgy to start with but seems to be getting better. - I've heard rumours Iron maiden will play although that's not really my thing.
Probly be going to the Rock am ring instead.
