Wow this has got to be one of the most useful sites around.

There's a Ranmoor Lane that appears as Banmoor Lane.

Same error on TomTom, so I assume the same mapping is used here......

Looks promising, never found that multimap worked quite how I wanted it to.
However, as a test I wanted a route from my house to the hospital where I work. Nada. I've left feedback - who knows if they actually read it, but at least I've tried!
So bear in mind that it has it's limitations at the moment.

Google maps - just stunning technology. Can't wait until they have the satellite pics up of the UK as well...

Combining the (excellent) mapping with search technology is brilliant.

They will make a ton of money from this.

For mapping I use this - www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/oswebsite/getamap/ Much higher detail for maps.

Although the satellite pics on Google might be fun, if they appear.

Just tried the OS site, and it doesn't show the area correctly where my house is built, and the whole estate has been completed for over three years!

They'll have to get their data up-to-date first...

I've just tried searching for several local businesses that have been here for many years and it couldn't find any of them!

Agree, though, that the implementation is excellent. I was about to say that, once working, I'd probably use it instead of Yell... and then I noticed that the data is actually provided by Yell! I guess the beta might be working with an out-of-date directory for now?

Great demonstration of something we were promised nearly ten years ago - a proper online application. The data is currently a bit dodgy, but the interface is as slick as you like. Streetmap and Multimap must be pretty unhappy right now.

It's crap - all the streets in my local area are incorrectly named! How can it be relied upon when you don't know the area?!

It really is amazing, I even drifted (quite a lot) left and found my parents' place in Texas - not bad for a UK map!

Hmmmmm,
Out of scale and 3 roads ( including mine ) aren't named - they've only been there since the late 1870's.
In fact looking at my town - quite a few of the established roads aren't marked.

This side of Wakefield they seem to have added roads that don't exist. Turning paths and utterly non-navigable ways into roads. The driveway of the house opposite appears more like a mini-estate (that is to say a housing development not a car).

Try zooming out all the way - end up with a bizarre map of the UK and North America but nothing else...
