While visiting a friends yesterday, as I was parking, I noticed a chap walking over to me who proceeded to tell me..."I`m half pished but I had to walk back to tell you what a lovely car you`ve got!"

"Er, thank you I answered", wondering why he had to tell me he was half cut and would he have said the same if he had been sober?!

sets up and awaits "pish" taking

Ive been known to do this on plenty of occasions - albeit not pissed. Because i tend to go for the older cars though more often that not the owners not an enthusiast at all and is just driving it because it was cheap! certainly the guy with the clubman estate mini seemed very confused when i was checking out the car

Then there was the person with the grale who was convinced i was trying to break into it...

I slurred the same to a bloke who parked his Tamora right across my driveway today. In my state I wasn't going to be driving anywhere so it didn't matter! Guy responded with a full bore takeoff so I think he appreciated the comment.
