Not the most pleasant experience.

So I came out of work Friday (fortunately half an hour early), only to find that there's three guys standing around my car! It wasn't like they'd just stopped either, they were giving it a good look around and when I arrived they were standing around the front. I walked straight past them and headed for the boot (in case I wanted something a bit handy if you take my meaning). After they saw me go to the car they moved away slightly so I got in the car and put my sunglasses on so they couldn't see exactly where I was looking. Needless to say I was keeping an eye on them. Even as I drove off two of them were still eyeing the car and the third was on the phone. I've decided to park elsewhere today. I usually park in the same place everyday and it makes something an easy target if you do.

I also forgot to mention that they were nattering away in Russian!

Hmmm - once upon a time we'd have tipped off the police and they could have nicked a Ukrainian car gang red handed. No we know they're not interested or won't turn up so we don't bother.

Good job you spotted it - it might be in a container at Felixstowe by now!

I doubt it would have been nicked for export. Never can tell though. I was just worried about it being nicked, broken into, vandalised etc.

If you understood Russian then you could have heard them saying,"Da, but Bruciebabeski says the BMW 3 series are shitski so its not worth nicking Ivan. We'd be better offski with a Jaguar Mondeoski..."

Can understand your concern - there are definitely times when having a crap car that nobody would want to steal is an advantage, e.g. every time you park on the public road...

I've been doing a bit of checking around this morning and I know where to find them. There's normally six of them but they seem to be above board and hopefully they were just interested in the car because it's pretty.
