Please excuse my lack of knowledge but I'm hoping the PH masses can educate me a bit...

I want the Conservatives to rule the country and so come election time I will be ticking the Tory box. Or will I?

Where I live Labour currently have a marginal lead with the Lib Dems not far off but the Conservatives are miles behind. Would I be better off placing a tactical vote and going for yellow? Would going Blue be a complete waste?

I have heard arguments for and against doing this but haven't been able to find anything concrete on the web to make my mind up so am hoping you lot can help.

Massive Lib Dem majority around here. Priority 1 is Blair out, next priority is who next. We have so many lib dem voters around here voting is a waste of time. I will still cross the blue box though.

I have been thinking about this very issue-on the positive side it means that Labour might have one less seat on the negative on many issues the liberals are more left wing than Labour and they also anti-car.

Added to this is the fact that in the event of a hung parliament the outcome would most likely me a Lab/Lib dem coalition.

Given that the most likely result is a small Labour majority if I were in your position I would vote Lib Dem-if labour only have a majority of 50 or less their ability to push through controversial legislation would be limited-don't forget that a number of Lib dems voted against the ban on fox hunting.

I am totally divided with what to do. I am and always have been a Conservative and don't mind 'taking one for the team' so to speak, but I doubt I'll be able to live with making the Lib Dems a stronger party.
