What's the point in being a good person?

When all you do that is right and good is nullified by all the scum out there?

OK, I've had a few to drink, but tonight I found out that a girl I had loads of faith and trust in has been leading me on all along.

I'm not trying to turn this into an anti female thread or anything like that because I STILL beleive there are decent wimmin' out there and I'm willing as hell to find them.

I just feel like what's the point if nice guys are always trampled over?

I know I'll probably be more reasonable and diplomatic in the morning but I just can't help feeling this right now.

I'm sorry ladies but there are some really REALLY bad girls out there who give you all a bad name.

And I know he doesn't really give a f**k but I've always agreed with everything he (V8Thunder/Twincam16) has said on this subject so far.

So there it is people, tell me seriously, is it really worth being a nice guy?

Yes it is in my experience.

Sometimes you have to play "the game" (whatever that is) but when it all comes down to it, if somebody is messing you around, it's their loss and not yours.

There are some mean women out there, sometimes I wince when I hear how some of them treat you guys. Hang on in there, be yourself, be nice and one day you'll find someone who's just right for you.

I also wonder what the point been a nice person is when whilst you'll do anything for others, they ignore things about you. For example it was my birthday recently and one of my closest friends, whom I think of a brother, would rather sit and watch the F1 race than go to a car show with me even though I asked him nigh on 2months ago and he said yes.

But, I like been a decent bloke (even if I say so myself). I like it when the little things you do are noticed by people. I like it when people know they can rely on you for one reason or another. I like it when when you need help you can ask for it and get it because people know fine well if the reverse occurred you'd be there.

The old phrase is relevant - do to others as you wish to be done to you. If they don't heed that notice, accept it or ignore them
