So here I am round a friends house watching the simpsons while playing on my laptop. Whilst doing this I remotely connect to their machine, copy the crazy frog wav (used for annoying people in the office when they piss me off) to their machine, connected via remote registry and added it to the "run" key.

For those who dont know what this does, it will open windows media player (or whatever is associated with WAV files) and play it when the machine starts up and play it and they will not know where or how its doing it

I have far too much time on my hands.

Can you set it up to play whenever they open any program? Now that would REALLY be annoying

I have a rule: no techies allowed near my computers. They can do too much harm!

I set up their wi-fi, and their security, so consequently I know the administration logons etc

One of my personal favourites is the permanent reboot trick:

Right-click the Start menu.
Select Explore Users.
Navigate to Programs > Startup.
Right-click the file windows and select New > Shortcut.
When the window pops up asking for the location, enter "%windir%system32shutdown.exe -r -t 00."

Take a screenshot of their desktop, set it as the wallpaper. Hide all their icons along with the taskbar. Piss yourself as they spend all day clicking on the "icons"!

Yep, this drives the person insane. I've done this many times and the look of confusion on their faces is brilliant.

Yep done that one, it's a good un, also had my boss's laptop play the Pulp Fiction theme whenever he logged on/off. We all p'd ourselves laughing everytime we heard him trying to sneak off home early. He never asked us to remove it as he fancied himself as a bit of an I.T guru, but couldn't suss it out and didn't want to lose face. Childish but fun.

I remember back at a open plan office I worked at, we found a huge 4 minute wav of Spock bleating on about living long and prospering or something. We duely put it in the startup folder of the unpopular guys machine.

Cue 8.30 am spock going at top volume and the machine was a profile jobby with internal speakers and volume control only changeable from the taskbar....

He walked out the room to get coffee with a red face and just left it! Whole office was in stitches.

Fabulous. My receptionist has just left work early to see the chiropractor(sp?). Cant wait till tomorrow morning. She is not the best with computers. I once asked her to turn her machine off so we could do a full network reboot only to find that the monitor was turned off and not the computer. Bless her.
