IDEA for British Pride & Heritage!!
Discussion
It is obvious that Brits make up most of the "PH" collective. It also appears that many are "well-to-do". Above all, there are many, and mostly like-minded!
Why don't PHers form a corporation, buy Rover and run it right! I am and have always been proud of the British and their contributions. I honestly believe that the world we live in would be far worse had it not been for you guys...I probably would never have lived. Therefore, let's start fortifying Limey heritage by drawing a line in the sand and Keep the Union Jack over the Rover factory! You all know one another, pick the bean counters, business managers, labour organizers, etc.! Hell, I will buy a Landie from you myself (with a PH discount)! Corporate breakups and takeovers are a fact of life, but damn! I am tired of seeing you getting chipped apart bits at a time. I bet that the folks on this forum have more collective abilities than all of the idiots tearing you down....think about it!

The current MG- Rover situation bothers me as well, it's a shame.
British cars for me have always had so much character, most of my experience with them is with 60's and 70's M.G.s and Triumphs. I really like those cars.
I also hate the current trend of Ford Buying Volvo & Jaguar, G.M. buying Saab and Subaru(not sure that G.M owns Subaru or is just in cahoots with them) Etc. and all of the platform sharing that is going on.
It takes all of the uniqueness out of the cars, it's terrible.
I've nicknamed the new Saab 9-2x the "Saabaru"
It's not a Saab for Christ's sake it's a WRX wagon.
I find the loss of the British car manufacturers very saddening.
