Weird and (not so) wonderful parties
Discussion
Taking some time to survey my ballot paper this morning, I was struck by the array of half baked political parties vying for your X in the box.
One was the 'Alliance of Green Socialists', which I've never heard of, but struck me as the party I'd be least likely to ever vote for. There was also a socialist party which I can't remember the exact name of, but who had comically (and perhaps ingeniously) managed to include the words "down with the warmongers" into their party name!
I'd be interested to hear of any weird and wonderful parties standin in your area...

"Prison sentences for uninsured drivers"

I wonder what percentage of the Max Power readership drive about in cars with undisclosed modifications

Last time around, Saatchi & Saatchi put up the Ginger Crab (a bloke in a ginger crab suit) in Kensington & Chelsea (Portillo's seat), on behalf of Jammy Dodgers.
We got a wonderful thank you email from him afterwards, with the immortal line "I gave out 27 videos of my manifesto and got 27 votes. If I could just have afforded another 3,000 videos..."
