By all means come on down. I'm in the Brighton Pavilion constituency, where we also had the delightful option of voting for this chap representing the 'Alliance for Green Socialism'.

Another top choice was this chap of the Socialist Labour Party who gave these as his reasons for wanting to be an MP:

Same here. My constituency (Scarborough & Whitby) also returned to being a Conservative seat after a few years of being Labour.

I'm just sorry that this change was not reflected nationwide.

Quite so. However when the party which fixed the boundaries gets six times as many seats as the party which got only 1/3 less votes, and over 1 1/2 times the number of seats than the party which got only 3% less of the vote, then something fundamentally undemocratic is obviously happening.

It's time to put the drawing of constituency boundaries in the hands of a committee of geographers, historians, and cartographers. That should ensure an abstact random outcome.

Oh yes, a crumb of comfort on a bleak night. Another crumb - in the run up to polling day that 4 x 4 hater, Sian Berry-Eater or whatever, apparently organised a demo outside Landrover. Four protesters turned up, so the happy throng of econutters was most likely her plus mum, dad and an inflatable fiend of the earth doll
