Yes if it was a mate, no if it was a colleague...

Vixpy has the idea, and that's what I'd be inclined to do.

Vixpy is defnitely right - its a no win situation otherwise

If you tell him, he may shoot the messenger

If you don't and he finds out you knew and did nothing about it, you're an accomplice

Depends a lot as to how good a "mate" he is.

If its a friend you've known for a while, your SURE she's playing around (and not just suspect it) then you have an obligation to tell him.

Hes a friend after all.

If its a casual "someone I see down the pub" kind of mate, then probably not. Not worth being shot as the messenger, and unless he's a good friend he probably wont believe you anyway.

That brings into question how you know it in the first place. Chances are either she told you in secret or the guy she slept with boasted about it.

I suppose if it's the boasting guy you just need to get them in the same room, light the blue touch paper, leg it and nature will take its course with a round of fisticuffs.

If she told you in confidence then I suppose she's broaching the subject on a 'safe' source, probably with a view to telling her boyfriend. Might be best to prepare him for the news without telling him directly.

If you heard it off someone else completely just disregard it. I've known people try to split others up by suggesting infidelity (and I know because it was suggested of me and was completely untrue, yet had the added effect of ruining my social life), so by acting on it you're just propogating rumours/a lie.

Just be careful.

Some people just don't want to know though... & they find a reason to stay in denial it even if the evidence is staring them in the face - reckon I'd take it on merit - depending on my loyalty & closeness to the person(s) involved. Don't jump straight in though - people don't always see that you're trying to do them a favour!

how did you find out about the 'deed'?

you could leave him a subtle hint, pretend you let it slip out by accident... [pardon]

Need more info for an informed opinion......

How did you find out? In what circmstance did you find out/were told? Is it 100%, no question, DNA proveable that she's being playing hunt the sausage? How good a mate is the mate? Do you want her? Have you been having her?

Probably don't need half of that info to be honest, but I'm nosey and like a bit of gossip.

To quote Shaggy (and that other gimp) ''It wasn't me.''
It is 100 confirmed, and I found out through the guy who did the deed. He didn't know I knew the poor bloke in question.
I've done nothing for two months now, but everytime I see him I feel bad for him :-(

Was it a one off?

Or is it a full blown affair? Or is she a serial one night stand merchant?

Did he set out to 'have' her and then lose interest?

If it was a one off, I'd be inclined to say nothing - unless of course they are about to get married or summat.

I was on the recieving end of this while at uni. I was completely innocent of course (and so bloody naive I didn't suspect much)

The story went like this. ...

B tried to rubbish me by saying I'd had an afair with E, and split me up with A. C&D all jumped on the bandwagon. E was a good friend of mine and rather than tell me decided to tell everyone that it was tue and was a great lay and I was hung like a donkey etc

I ended up having half the women (F through Z) I knew either blank me or slap me and the other half want to shag me

I'd have been nuts deep in all of them if I'd had any idea what was going on
