Snorkeling in the Cote D'azur?

just booked our hols.. and want to do a bit or snorkeling.. nothing big or fancy, so no ferry trips to far off lands etc..

do any of you know any good beaches/coves for snorkeling, anywhere between St Tropez and Nice..

There's a nice little place between St. Tropez and Nice, called Muff, which is a great... ah, you're ahead of me.

Try heading to Antibes which is between Nice and Cannes....Take a look at a map of the area and head for the beaches/ rocky area to the west of that area...Beautiful scenary and rocky bays Cap d'Antibe.....Have fun.....

The Iles de Hyères - just east of St Tropez are great for a day trip. Boats every 30 mins from Toulon.
There are 3 islands with lots of small coves.
You can also hire bikes and cycle round the islands, if you are feeling adventurous you can cycle to the top of the "mont" (not actually that hard if you go the road way instead of rapelling up the side of the bloody thing)

Can't help with the snorkelling, but so excited as I just confirmed my holiday, just east of Nice, in Villefranche, 2 weeks in a villa .

Villefranche is lovely! We often moor there for a few days when sailing in the region.

There is great seafood restaurant on the waterfront - it appears in Ronin - cant remember what it is called but has excellent & surprisingly cheap seafood.

going for the last 3 days of august, and first week and a bit in sept.

staying in the st tropez bay, so anywhere along that bit of coast would be good..
