On the way home I saw two chavy types, each supping a can of lager, each smokin' a fag, AND riding

It won’t stop as long as teenagers are treated so leniently for the crimes they commit.

Young offenders are given a lesser sentence than the already inadequate sentence an adult would receive.

We've tried being soft and understanding-it doesn't work; they will change their behaviour when they face serious penalties for their actions.

I think the article hit the nail on the head when it said that adults no longer represent a unified authority.

This and the serious issue that the law seems to have no teeth in dealing with troublesome youths. Until "rampaging" teenagers actually begin to have some fear again of the consequences of anti-social actions, society will have to put up with this burgeoning problem.
