The Iraqis certainly appear to have decided to give him options. The question is whether he accepted them, ever exercised or sold them, i.e. did he gain any benefit from them? No one seems to have put forward any evidence of that.

A truly odious man regardless of his guilt or innocence on this matter.

Simply the fact that Galloway chose Saddam as one of his friends is almost certainly going to mean that he gets tarred with all manner of brushes.

His last comment "So far I'm 1.6 million up" simply goes to prove how one way or another he is making money out of this.

Perhaps he should donate any "winnings" to the Red Crescent or the Red Cross.

I heard him on R5 a few minutes ago and he made the point that if he was trading in millions of barrels of oil and making billions the British Secret Services would be bound to know about it, and would obviously make it public. I think the man is a scumbag (at best) but this does seem ever so slightly improbable.

Anyone making large sums of illegal money keep it tucked away. Children's charities - now that's an idea... no-one would think of looking there...
