Favourite "kit" house
Discussion
Well it's not the first time I have seen post on here about granddesigns so there are obviously a few of you interested in selfbuild.
What is you favourite "kit" (and I use the word loosely) type house?
The way I see it they have a lot of advantages, they are relatively cheap, they are quick to erect and they can be easily customised.
Personally I really liked the wooded kit house from scandinavia..

For me you really can't beat an oak framed house. There's something so pure about it, and I love the combination of natural wood and white walls. Gives both a homely feel and modern look in one
Don't think you can get a kit house like that, but the frame can be erected pretty quickly once it's been fabricated in the workshop

We moved into our self build last August. We went the Potton 'Heritage' route and would recommend it to anyone. Very professional (sp) company that will give as much or little help as you require. Overall very pleased with the results and also saved a fortune over buying a similar property.
