I have sold the Cortina for £1,500 without the plate, not a bad price as it could use some financial input on the interior etc.

The thing is after polishing it today I don't know if I can let it go, the money would be handy but not essential.

Do I keep it and sell the Mexico which has now been accident damaged?

The guy is driving down from Wigan at 7am tomorrow to collect so I will have to tell him tonight if the deal is off?????

Erm, that fella would be rightly massively annoyed if he drove the 250 miles or so and you said "I've changed my mind".

Personally, I'd sell it and then buy something else to play on.

I think it would be wrong to renege on the deal now

Oh come on, just look at it. It's a 2dr Cortina, it's an 'orrible colour, and it's got whitewalls. I bet it smells too.

Move on. And anyway, you've done a deal, integrity is worth a lot you know.

(only kidding, i'm not serious when I dis' your mota )

Dont forget, a car like that will always be there anyway, it will go to a good home. I sold my beloved Bentley MKVI about four years ago, I had the car for seven years. I was really sad to see it go, but it is entered into the next auction at H&H at Buxton next month. I could buy it back if I wanted to.

Thought you sold it ages ago. Did the original deal fall apart?

Do I understand correctly? You bid on your own auction? I understand that that's not only against the eBay TOS, but may be illegal!

No a friend of mine did it for me, I lost out in the end as had to pay Ebay a percentage etc.

Well done, integrity is a comodity in short supply these days.

Plus, IMHO, old cars, who needs them! Sorry but normal old cars do nothing for me personaly.

Now a Lamborghini Muira...
