It might have been a bit naff or cheesy in previous weeks but tonight's episode was a real chiller set in WWII blitz London and ending on a cliffhanger. Anyone else see it? This series has had its detractors but this one was in another league.

It seems the better stories are the multi-episodes, I like cliffhangers. Single episode stories are over too quickly.

Just Brilliant.

This series has raised the game and set new expectations. Dr Who - as quality entertainment. Still brilliant for kids...and now something for the older generation too (especially old fans). Marvellous.

Haha! My housemate's just played a brilliant trick on me. I think he was watching it downstairs with his girlfriend, then he put on his scuba diving mask and breather, stood behind my door, waited for me to open it and promptly scared the crap out of me

Its actually turned out to be far better than I expected as a series. Tonights was excellent and I thought last weeks was pretty good as well. Billie Piper is probably the best thing in the programme!

You knew they were going to get surrounded.

It's pretty much like Buffy. Something weird goes on, hero investigates, hero and/or sidekick gets in a pickle, escapes, sorts problem, end.

Cracking episode... and given that the Beeb have had loads of complaints about the other episodes being too scary for children, methinks they'll have a bulging postbag from disgruntled parents tomorrow!

By the way,

Lois, you do look like Billie Piper you know

They even got away with the gay comment, apparently this is explored in further episodes.

Oh great, I set this up to record on repeat about 8 weeks ago, and have just missed it because some stupid scrotef**k decided that the Euro vision Song contest should get in the way. Well thank you very much BBC, you bunch of !!
