Good programme though... agree with Gaffer - he's got pride in what he does and gets frustrated with others if they don't try. All credit to the restaurant though - seemed to be working at it.

Me too - we had an authentic Ristorante Italiano open near me...damn near went out of business till they changed to serving utter shite that the locals think is cosher Italian.

Some folk just dont appreciate quality.

He does seem to be playing the swearing Chef routine a bit too much, did you see him on Jonathan Ross last Friday. He was full of it, not even Ozzy Osborne would have sweared that much on a BBC1 chat show. It was a funny interview but the man clearly has no real class if he had to throw the 'F' word into every answer and conversation he had with JR.
