Cornwall recommendations

Ahh you will be staying near menspants.
Plenty to see and do down this far, worth having a look around the Lizard and Lands End, pub wise just go out and do the rounds, some good ones in Mousehole etc but plenty to choose from, country ones are the better ones.
You can do eden project, flambards if you have kids, goonhilly if your that way inclined or go to the likes of falmouth etc and go on some sea safaries.
All I can think of at the moment.

It isnt, you just try explaining that to the Cornish, some of them are not even aware the war is over.
But, yes we do call tourists emmets but we do like them as the county would be in sh#t if they did not show up every year.

Gedon! Be sure to look at the surfing action from the pier. 'Levan is one of the UK's best breaks and you'll probably see some eye popping action if it's on.
Kynance Cove- Look at the Geology/ find amazing serpentine pebbles.
Cape Cornwall, more geology, mine workings to chuck stones down.
If you want to find a lonely beach, try and find Mill Bay SW of Mousehole.
Amazing hooning road from Sennen-St Ives, bring your sticky tyres and some big bollox. (Coast Road with beautiful scenery)- I completely destroyed a 911 with my mini, when I had finished there was tyre dust stuck to the each side of the car. It is THAT twisty!

If we made it a tax haven with only 10% income tax, a minimum private wealth requirement for residency, withdrew from Europe and introduced the Groat as the national currency then we might do quite well!
An' anyway, tiz already a seperate country - well it's bloody different to the rest of the UK!

My local roads! I've overtaken motorbikes who have been trying and AMG mercs/M3 roadster to name a few big scalps. Local knowledge will always win on roads like that
I don't know an awful lot about resturants in the locality tbh as i can't afford to eat out! You might want to go for a meal in the Godolphin Arms (a pub and resturant but seperated, was featured in a weekender section after the refurb) in Marazion as the sun sets over St Michaels mount, it's recently been refurbished and is pretty nice in their. I had Cod and chips last time and it weas fairly average food to be honest but i'd still recommend it - cheap too.
If you fancy going out for a nice walk along some stunning cliffs then go to Trewellard (literally next doo to Pendeen) then turn right at the chapel to go towards the cliffs. Down this tiny little tight road at the end is a gravel carpark and a Mine that i believe is being done up for tourists but tbh i don't take much interest. Be careful of the scramblers that hoon up those roads from playing on the old mine workings though. Then you can park up and walk all the way to Lands end if you felt so inclined. However i'd be tempted just to walk along the path untill it's completely quiet, climbing to the top of the highest piece of rock you can find and just sitting there. I do this quite often just to relax although it is my home so could be a bit different for myself. Also some nice Falcons around (and yes, i do know the difference between a Buzzard and a Falcon) if your lucky. If you want to make a day of it you could walk the whole way and pack some sarnies. The path will take you out at the bottom of the hill just before St Just. When you're near that end take a right and head down another path along the valley to take you to a little spot where people used to make animal patterns from rocks. There was a massive snake which pointed straight towards the sun as it was setting, utterly magical that someone spent that much time doing it and looked spectacular. However i think that's gone now, but there might be something else there, i've not been in a while!
Oh, and you must watch the sunset over Sennen beach. There's a new cafe/resturant opened up there on the beach but i've been away so don't know if it's any good too. The pub there is not great so i'd avoid that. There's a fish and chip shop tho'!
The Minack theatre is stunning, however last time i was their Dolphins were playing off the coast and it totally distracted my attention
, the play was utterly shite too. Might be worth taking a look without paying to see some half arsed actors ruining the view 
It might be worth taking a day trip to the Isle Of Scilly too, I enjoyed a weeks camping there despite there not really being an awful lot to do. Nice little beaches tho' and the gardens at Tresco were lovely although it's not really my cup of tea.
Just go and explore, one of the greatest pleasures of being on holiday has to be stumbling upon a decent pub with a beer garden all by yourself.
Ahhh home, will be back in six weeks

There is a nice place just up the hill from Mousehole, called Paul, theres a pub there, just the one, cant recall the name, that is very good for food. Also the main pub in Mousehole is very good for food. Wouldnt recommend the Goldophin in comparison to those two.
There is also a couple of pubs in Lamorna cove that I heard good stuff about. As for stuff to do, Lizard is great, Kynance & Mullion are also lovely, I would do those three in one day, but if you get time there is a lovely cider farm on the road to/from that area, its signposted off the road, extremely potent cider
Scilly Isles by air is also a must do, as is Sennen, St Ives, St Michaels Mount etc.

St Mawgan's last airday was about 1996. They have not had one since. The base is due for closure in 2007 IIRC.
A train ride from St Erth to St Ives is well worth doing. You leave St Erth station with it's quaint signalbox & semaphore signals down the branch line past Hayle wharves to the stretching out of the sands of Portminster and Hayle right up to Godrevy Lighthouse. I did it earlier this year. Was really good. Was better about 10 years ago though when you could hang out the windows of the old slam door Multiple Units though. The sea is unbelievably blue (for the UK at least) around this area.
A trip up the coast road from Hayle to Perranporth is well worth doing. Stop off at Hell's Mouth, and also Wheale Coates, St Agnes. There are amazing views of Tin mines on the edges of the cliffs with the sea as a backdrop.
