Basically, I am having a theme for my 30th and I want to be able to send the clip of the movie around which the theme is based for those that may not have watched the movie before.

Anyone know if or how this can be done ?

Cheers

Thats no problem at all - you just attach it as a file...

But you do need to be very careful as to the size of the file - I would recommend 3meg max.

I want the clip of The Thomas Crown Affair where he walks into the gallery in his suit, tie, bowler hat, case etc and there are hundreds of them walking around to replace the painting. (Or not as the case may be)

You need a DVD ripper - and then a simple editiing package to edit out the clip you want.

Sometimes it is easier to get it on VHS (after compression the quality difference ceases to be an issue anyway) and then capture the chunk you want with some editing software.

Tidy it up, then export it as an MPG file.

Voila!

You really don't want to be emailing 3MB clips around - will make you very unpopular with virtually anyone. Stick the clip on the web somewhere and mail the link.
