Has anyone dealt with the site www.hifistore.co.uk?

They have the following, which looks a very good deal.

If it's relevant, they'll be running from a Cyrus DVD8/AV8 and SmartPower's to start with. I'll add the sub in a bit, but as I say, that looks like a good bundle price.

I just want to make sure I'm not going to throw my money away.

I've bought alot of stuff from them, they are very good at customer service everytime I have used them.

As for what you are buying, havent got a clue, been out the loop for a while.

Edited to add, bought the mIssio Cinema M30 speaker package from them for the Father in laws Birthday sound is great. MAted to a Pioner DVD player DV360 i think, plus a Denon 700 or something Home Cinema Reciver

Always found Missions not to my liking sounds wise, not sure why.. just never liked them..

Spooky, I could never get on with KEF, but love Mission. Had a pair for twenty years, but they have finally rotted away

Ah, I need full size speakers.... They could well end up being run by a pair of monoblocks. I think the Cantons could end up in the next county

Remember - support from online retailers is normally very poor, hence the low prices.

Personally I'd buy from an independant hifi shop, that way you get a tailored service, and you can take it back should things not work. Plus, they'll be happy to do you a trade-in should you upgrade.

Give Richer Sounds a try, they're a great company.

Don't bother with Richer unless you're buying very cheap stuff.

You will get better service from a proper hifi shop, but you will pay for it.

Big fan of Missions myself, can't help with online retailer though, sorry.

More than anything else Speakers are very dependant on the listener. TRY BEFORE YOU BUY. This is where the "budget" retailers fall down as most "Real" Hi-Fi stores will let you take home a demo pair or set of speakers to try. I'd also try REL subs as they are reckoned to be the best.

In my opinion you can't go wrong there mate, their customer service is first rate. Knocks Richer sounds into the shade.

Duly purchased online.... I know I should audition, but I also know however much I auditioned, I would have ended up with the Missions anyway.

No messing my local retailer about and saved a few bob too. Result
