I like the fact that it is a private auction so the buyers identities are protected. Isn't this a bit worrying that ebay ban the sales of alcohol on their site, but are quite happy to list strike fighter aircraft and high performance multi-role combat aircraft.

Harmonica. The Soviets used an oct-tonal sequence
keyed via an adapter on the oxygen mask to seed the
IFF transponder cryptography. In wartime the key
was relayed to dispersed bases via HF radio. In peacetime, the first
two bars to the theme tune to "Battleship Potemkin" were used.

It's always been a plan of mine


I love the MiG 21. It's an archetype. To most people in the world, ie India, China, those sorts of places, ask them to draw a jet fighter and, assuming they undersatnd engliash and can draw, the chances are they'll draw a MiG 21.

The pictures are of 2 different planes, one with a complete wing and one where it has fallen off. I also like the way they offer to post it to the UK - big parcel !

There's two planes in those photos. One has both wings on and the other has neither wing on. Perhaps it was dismanteld for transportation and not reassmbled.

So what would be the running costs for that thing. I guess there's only a handful of airports in the UK that you would be allowed to fly it from?

Isn't aviation fuel tax free? That be so, it'd probably be cheaper to run than a family saloon......

You'ld never get a Permit to Fly from the CAA for such a 'plane.
