And no, I don't mean Leeds :)

A mate and I are planning on driving down for the Friday of GFOS (Bognor Regis) later this month, and seeing as I've never been to the Southern Coast we figured we have a little drive around and see some sights.

Um, What is there to see?

cheers

From Goodwood head east to Brighton for friday night out (up the A285, along the A272, down the A23 for the most interesting drive)

BTW good choice to make the effort

There's obviously loads about, what sort of thing are you after ?

I hear there's going to be an immense naval celebration of 200th anniversary of Trafalgar in and around Potrsmouth harbour on Friday night.

There are supposed to be 3 or 4 USA carriers moored outside the harbour and the greatest gathering of naval hardware in the UK for over 60 years. May well be going for a nose around myself after the FoS.

Come to Portsmouth to see some terrible chavs? If you are in the area at night, find the churchillian pub on portsdown hill, park in the carpark opposite to the pub, get a burger from the burger van (fantastic burgers) and look out over Portsmouth at night time. Its a great view...

For the historically minded there is a roman villa in Fishbourne and that is very close to Goodwood...

Shirley houses that small would do better with a shower, sweety.

Anywho...since maggie shut down all the factories the air round here is sweet and the view of the hills is wonderful. And you can drive to them in a few minutes coz we is mostly too poor to own cars to clog up the roads.

'appen.

Super, smashing.

surely the traffic jam for GFOS will keep you busy most of the weekend. Make sure you avoid petworth on the way to GFOS.
