August 31st is my last day in the UK and I've suddenly realised that I'll be due for an income tax rebate. Can I apply in September or do I have to wait until next April?

Cheers in advance for any help (and saving my the trouble of phoning the bastards)

I would have thought that you would have to wait until the end of the tax year.

I think you can apply for it anytime, I claimed for one a while back and had to sign a form declaring that I wont be paying anymore tax this tax year. They were surprisingly helpful and I even got refunded tax that I didnt know I had paid!
