Pistonheads Bathing Survey

Following on from a :drink::drunk: conversation about (of all things) how often people have a bath (which ended with a disagreement), I offered to survey the PH users and thus would like to open the subject up to the floor.....

So:

a) Do you prefer to have a bath or a shower?

b) How often do you or would you have a bath?

If anyone's interested, the starting point was Ted's rant over road pricing, and the debate started from a comment about a mutual friend who drives to the shops even to buy fags (the shops are about 150yds from their house)!

I prefer to have a shower daily as it's quicker.

I probably have a bath once or twice a week, usually at weekends when I've got time to relax in the spa bath and am not in such a rush. I usually have a shower afterwards anyway though to wash my hair.

Shower daily - don't have time to have a bath. I'll usually have a bath of a Sunday - with a single malt (in a glass, I use water in the bath) and have a relax (occasionally put my head underwater and make light-saber noises... and get busted by the missus)

I do that occasionally too, when I've "had an accident" in the bath.





PS The last bit was untrue... I never have accidents in the bath

Shower every morning, and occasionally at night too.

Bath maybe every other weekend for a bit of R 'n' R.

Bath on a thursday after playing football (usually to get sand out of knees burned on astro turf )

Shower usually twice a day, once in the morning to wake me up and once in the evening to clean away the day's grime before sleep.

Occasionally I'll have a bath at the weekend, maybe once a month. Takes just too damn long for someone with my levels of patience.

Shower once a day, twice if I've done anything 'active'. Bath on a Sunday evening, usually with a glass of wine and a book.

I let the children use the water after me in the mornings, I never use their water though

have a shower every morning, and normally when I feel dirty (leave it) other than that.

If we have to ration it in some way later on this summer (possibly!) it will be because of people with your attitude. We don't make the water, we just pump it out of the ground (as much as the Environment Agency will allow), treat it and get it to your house. So if the lack of rain causes a shortage, there's not a great deal that can be done except attempt to restrict it's use. Be sensible with water usage and it might not happen. Anyway, it gives me headaches trying to keep all the reservoirs up to a reasonable level .

Shower everyday (mostly), bath once a week or more to relax and to have a chat (with the wife).
