Blokes wearing nail varnish - Yes or No ?

Having a 'debate' on this as I don't like to have the odd finger or two painted and this seems a fairly normal thing in Manchester anyway, but all the girls are saying men should NOT paint nails and if their boyfriend asked them for a paint, they would only get a smack in the gob. To me, this is just as bad as telling them what they can/cant say or do.

It is peculiar. A mate of mine has one nail on each hand painted black, but nobody was surprised as he's always buggering about with his appearance.

Goths seem to be able to get away with one or two painted nails, know one or two guys who use varnish to strengthen (and effect temp repairs) for guitar playing purposes.

Most gay guys don't wear nail varnish and don;t like other guys wearing it either.

Definitely yes. Apparently everybody should be free to do whatever they want and not be judged by people. Apparently though the Fashion Police are excluded from this - they might advise that you make sure the toes are done as well. Make sure the shade of varnish complements the skin tone and face make up. Consider putting a diamond stud in the centre of each nail as well.

This is wrong on so many levels it’s painful for me to think about. It’s one of my all time pet-hates. Seriously though, WHY?? Why would any bloke feel the need to spend their time painting their fingernails? WHY WHY WHY?

If you have split a nail and are being a big wuss about potential pain (like most men) then I don't see anything wrong with nail repair glue (which is just Cyanoacrylate - ie. SuperGlue) which looks a little like clear varnish.

Coloured nail varnish? Hmmm. I'd have to say that looks a bit girly, but I wouldn't judge someone if they wanted to wear it. Not my cup of tea, but why stop anyone else?
