Travis Gig could have changed our lives...

Following on from several posts I have made trying to promote my band and the gigs we've been playing...
[i]eaves[/i] nearly landed the support slot of the decade yesterday. It came down to a last second decision by the promoters / management of [b]TRAVIS[/b] which went the way of a signed solo artist to back them at the UEA venue here in Norwich.
We are obviously gutted that we missed out, but I think its a massive compliment that we were in the mix with signed acts to get this opportunity.

I feel for you mate. I guess I'm on the other end of the scale - I've been trying to set up a band but we just can't find a drummer and the lead guitarist is being a lazy so-and-so and hasn't been writing tunes for my lyrics when he says he has.
If it's any consolation, my cousin turned down the chance to be the drummer in a little band he saw in a pub once.

If you were seriously being considered as a support for an A-list band like Travis then it means you've been noticed. Someone will snap you up

My 15 year old son is a drummer and he's in huge demand. Must be a drummer thing. He's recently started playing some paying gigs with some 18/19 year olds as well as soldiering on with his own band. I'm looking forward to him keeping me in my old age.
