why are movies so corny

American movies? largely:.........Opium for the masses, America is ALL there is! WE freed you ALL from tyrany (eventually and at a price), History re-written to show the U.S. as the good guys.
Well? ...It's true the the American "joe" gave his life for the freedom of Europe that we have today, and we can only honour them forever.
No thanks though, to their leaders, who "bled us (in the UK) dry" of our many technology advanced designs before helping us. (i.e. the "JET" engine was GIVEN to ALL American aeroplane manufacturers "if they built 15!! units for us, each"! And there is PLENTY more.
If there is a lesson for the good American people out there, it's that: "Your Government is a Bully" Freedom? Yeah right! I think that MY Nations democracy gives me more scope to choose my Political Allegience than yours! What have you? Right wing or semi-right wing! WoW!
"I" can choose from Communist to Right wing fascist!
Now that's what "I" call democracy.
Without this choice, THERE IS NO DEMOCRACY!!!
It's MY view that in America, there IS no choice!
Just like in the former USSR.

Maybe you will understand my point though, being a Scot )notice the capital "S"
. I feel that "Britain" for ALL it's faults, is a place where ALL political views can exist.
If you prevent or deny in any way a political party, then you deny democracy (Macarthyism?). I'm pleased to say that the "Tory" party does NOT!!!
Political freedom in THIS country is paramount to ALL! In THIS, I applaud the Tories. Although I disagree with their policies. We will, (of course) fight them "in the House". But they MUST exist, and NOT be destroyed. A narrowing of the political spectrum is dangerous! A wide opposing view is essential to democracy. I hope that all others here feel the same way.
One day, maybe,.....America will have this freedom of choice also!!!
