Definitely a Gripen. The accident happened in the early 90s when the plane was still under test. Another early Gripen fell into a Stockholm city park during a display not too long afterwards. Again, the pilot survived.
Although there was an element of pilot error in both crashes, it was more to do with the sensitivity of the fly by wire control system.
