making the move!? to the USA!

Hey folks,

Ive been offered a dream job in america (florida) working for a golf equipment manufacturer selling their products to the local golf courses. I need to find some where to rent while my house is been built can anyone recommend any websites. Has anyone else made the move to live abroad? any advice?

These will generally link you to the typical large apartment complexes that are very common across here. They're very good too, usual amenities include pools, gyms, hot tubs, front offices, full servicing, etc.

If you want to rent a house directly I'd advise looking up the website of the local paper wherever you're going.

Golf industry in Florida - sounds terrible!

Sister in law has just bought and furnished a house nr Stuart Fla. They had an offer on rental fall through. Let me know if you're interested and I'll find out for you.

after florida try Cali or some eastern coast states(specially around DC). Lots of people(rich people) that play golf around those regions.

Have a look on www.craigslist.org

They have lots of propert listings which are not on apartmentfinder.com and have private rentals, short-term rentals and sublets.

Worth a shot.

Smaller market area and have to use puddle jumpers a lot to get around the state but great weather and courses.

Have you got your gun yet? If not, arm up! Jeb Bush just signed into law the "Stand your Ground" law that allows citizens of Florida being confronted by criminals to blast away instead of run away. I think it is great, don't get me wrong....just don't threaten anyone your first day out

Are you going to be an employee of a US company?

If so do you have your sponsorship organised so you can work over there?

Only to add to the previously mentioned but what about somewhere in New England? I think you could find a good market during the summer months.
