What is wrong with Man Utd fans? The scenes at Old Trafford last night are totaly disrespectful and aren't going to gain them anything. The best thing they can do is boycott the club, not buy season tickets and protest peacefully.
Can anyone understand their logic about getting Glazer out and buying the club back? It's not possible to raise that sort of money if you're a bunch of supporters and I can't see where anyone else is going to raise the funds needed to buy out Malcolm Glazer. The only way they're ever going to able to afford to buy the club back is if it goes bankrupt.

If this had happened at Spurs and some Yank family bought the club out and they'd never even been to London let alone White Hart Lane, would you not be bothered.
Would there not be a hardcore element of Spurs fans still remonstrating or is it just because its Man United that you're having a pop?

If I'm honest, no. I wouldn't be happy about my club being plunged into debt. I'm not trying to have a pop because it's Man Utd, that would be too easy.
I don't agree with the way the fans went about it. If the club is floated on the stock market it's available for anyone to buy shares in. I admit the takeover was an agressive one but the club shouldn't have floated if they didn't want something like this to happen. Perhaps they just assumed they were too big for a takeover of this type?

I have marched on a couple of occasions to try and get Prescott to give Brighton a new stadium and if the Board tucked us up I'd protest in every way possible. However, Man U (and most other Premiership clubs) are far too corporate now for the little fan to make a difference.

Man United, Premiership winners once or twice in the last 15 years which undoubtedly gives a bit more cred when winning the European Champs League.

I'm a Man City fan, and although I can fully understand how annoying and frustrating the situation with United must be, I can't see any plans to boycott merchandise and games having any more than a tiny impact on MUFC/Glazers overall profit
As we are all aware, the Manchester United brand is a worldwide institution (more fans in china than over here blah blah etc etc). Whatever happens, united will still sell Shirts, merchandise and tickets (record number of season tickets sold for the upcoming season).
So basically, if the real loyal fans were to stop going to matches, tickets would be more readily available to the "prawnies" who Dont care about the club with the same passion as some die-hards, and Dont care who owns the club, as long as they get a ticket to go and watch their once a season game then they'll be happy.

And you've won the European Cup as often as Nottingham Forest, well done you.
but with a far bigger chequebook - cant see what the fuss is your club is about money and mercahdise so you get bought out big deal thats the world you live in u'll be happy again in a year if you win something. it will never be a big as achievement as forest though as they didnt buy it

I have to say the thing I found most amusing was the burning of season ticket renewal forms. That showed them! They won't try to take this club over again!
If it was the burning of season tickets I'd be impressed.
An empty statium would be a fantastic way to show displeasure, but as JITB pointed out, the true fans would stay away and others would take their place.
I'm still willing to bet that the majority of those who protest the most will renew their season tickets and be watching from the stands next season.

I personally think M Glazer has played this very wrong.
As soon as he got the control at 75% he should be on a charm offensive. He should of met some of the fans or at the very least done an interview for the one of the news channels to put their minds at rest.
Quite simply, he should of led from the front.
The price of not leading from the front is all the discontent we see at the moment. The interview that one of his sons has done is too little too late. The damage has been done.
