Radio 4 online w.t.f?

Listening to Radio 4 streaming online and the program just changed to a womens voice claiming 'Due to rights restrictions we are currently unable to bring you this program'

What's that all about then?

It isn't Desert Island Discs by any chance.

Some radio programmes are produced by private companies for the BBC. In certain circumstances, the BBC only has the rights to broadcast these shows over traditional radio airwaves - which does not include the Internet.

Radio 5 have the same thing when live football is on the radio, they can't broadcast it online.

Bit weird as normally I listen all day everyday and I never heard this before.

Might've been a glitch as it's all working now.
