Hair dresser - No, he's one of my best mates and so a couple of pints and we're square. If he's having a short week though I do pay

With the taxi it depends on how they are, the fare and what note I have to pay with. Someimtes just round it up 20p!!
Hair do, I usually go to the same person every month. Loyalty is my tip there.

No i dont really think you are. Ive never quite understood why we tip people habitually for simply doing their jobs.
Im a bit of a tip-weakling and will even tip in restaurants if Ive has a crap service. I resent my own patheticness.
Depends on the service, how nice they were and how cheap/expensive the bill was.
I was the very surprised recipient of a tip last week. I was setting up an exhibition at a library and saw a disabled woman struggling to lift a large box of framed pictures. She looked very distressed and said the taxi-driver was hooting her from outside, but that she couldn't manage the box. So I picked up the box and took it to the taxi for her - the taxi driver was standing with a 'don't care' attitude by the boot. Took about 45 seconds.
Shortly after they'd left, I was astonished when the library manager came over with £5 that the woman had insisted on giving me. So I got the tip and the taxi-driver didn't

I tend to use one cab firm in London & one in Nottingham, if I tip the drivers (£1 or so) I have found that they are never late & will pull out the stops if I need one ASAP. I get noticably faster service from them than friends & colleagues who use the same fares but don't tip. It mainly goes on expenses too so that's not a problem.
Do you guys tip take-away delivery dudes like Chinese, Pizza etc?
I always pay by card at point of sale and feel a bit awkward handing over some loose change to these guys instead of handing over a note that's 2 or 3 quid more than the bill and just saying keep-the-change.
Dominos dudes always greet me with a large smile and a nice "Hello, how are you doing?", and something tells me it's all a ruse for a tip, which is all fine and dandy, but I never give them one.

Ever thought that why they have the most money.
Tip - yes/no depending on service/my state of mind. I tip if someone goes above and beyond the call of duty and not if im in a "well no one tips me mood"

I always use yellow cabs in nottingham, I always tip them and as a result when I want a cab of an evening they always turn up on time and will resist the bribes offered to them in the market square by other punters
