My Daughter calls me Steve!

Can somebody please explain how I get through to my 3 year old Daughter that I am "Daddy" and not "Steve" to her, i've tried everything ie. taking her pocket money off her, confiscating her mobile, grounding her, but the message simply isn't getting through! Furthermore, any tips on disposing without causing offence or upset, around 30 Barbie Dolls. It's got to the point where I'm standing on the beggars in the middle of the night! :banghead:

And as for that lifesize head that sits on her dressing table while she brushes it's hair. :yikes: that's like something out of Child's Play!

She was pestering us for ages, because she was feeling oppressed and disrespected due to the fact all her friends have them and we wouldn't let her have one. We finally capitulated but drew the line at a camera phone and not one that does mpegs, so she can't go "happy slapping".

Don't they grow up fast these days!

We started taking her to dancing lessons on Saturday morning's and she got in with the wrong crowd. There's this 4 year old called Britney who is a real bad influence, apparently she's trying to get Annie to steal cigs for her!

What I meant was I don't think she thinks that I'm her Mum. I'm sure she knows I'm her Dad (well unless I get hold of this other Steve and I can find out for sure ), but chooses to call me Steve. To create a balance and so, one party is not upset, she ensures that she also periodically calls her Mum, "Linds". Maybe I'm <-smiley
