Not seen one this year, and last year was plagued by them....

'They' reckon that when the queens were out and about around March looking for places to nest, weather conditions were highly unfavourable. So there just aren't as many jaspers this year. Gardners won't like it but it's a result for the barbies.

wasps yuk I hate them, there have been a few big hornets instead tho, even more scary!!

Not seen too many wasps... but seen two HUGE hornets (both in France) this year.

Whilst I'll have a swipe at a wasp, there is no way I'm going near a hornet...

I've noticed that too, have had a few hover flys though.

We usually have some mason bees nest on top of our garage but they haven't been there this year either.

Ya big jessie! Get a badminton racquet and hammer em with that....youll be surprised how far you can knock em...

Strangely I tend not to carry a badminton racket with me... or indeed own one in the first place!

Allergic to the stings as well... get ana.. ana... go well loopy if stung. Had an injection at casualty last time... if I get stung again, apparently it'll really smart. Jeez... thanks...

I used to get a lot of horse fly bites.
Worst one I had I actually felt going in Saw the blighter and it had actually bitten through my jodphurs!! Could feel it come up in a huge hard lump.
