I have fallen in love with Norfolk after yet another great weekend up there. I would like to know what Nervous does up there, as I too would like to drive a Cerbera and a boat, and not live in London.

Sort my career change out for me, there's a good chap.

As long as it's not cabaret/rentboying, I think I can handle it *fnurk*

London blows cockwind, frankly.

Anyone else leave London & a city career to (sucessfully) do something in the countryside? Hmm? I need inspiration today (and possibly for the next of this hellspawn week).

Awesome quote and worthy of a t-shirt, if I may say!

Oh and with you on the change of career. I believe, however, that Nervy tugs the gents off at the old folkes home for a tenner an hour of an evening. Earns his money I have to say - some of those old boys are as dry as a camels chuff... he does nearly a vat of KY per visit. Still, keeps his forearms toned.

Wrist Mate? Is that a brand name? A pro's trick of the trade?

My mother told me never to accept sweets or beer from strange men. And you are quite clearly a very strange man.

I'm serious - I'm curious, as I am very seriously thinking of a nove up your way sometime in the next couple of years. I was up near Burnham Market this weekend - friends have a house up there. Beautiful. Have pretty much fallen in love with the area, but it's just too far to commute to Liverpool Street every day *sigh*.

They need any new crack dealers up yonder? Reckon I'd be a natural.

At 28 years old, I am beginning to wonder how much I would need to live a reasonable life outside London, and preferably in Norfolk or at a pinch Suffolk.

I reckon about 300k for a reasonable gaff sucha as this, about 25k for a motorcar such as this and then probably 100k stashed away for rainy days. oh and beano & swizzles sticks of course

I am finding you on my next trip up, and talking about this. I need to know how much a man needs to earn (preferably not by tugging off OAPs in pub loos, but needs must I suppose) to have a decent life in that part of the world.

I

must

get

out

of

here.

Trouble is, no way I could match my salary in this sort of work up yonder; so may have to be a complete and utter career change. Urk.
