The Bible, IMO the greatest work of fiction, loosely based on a few true life events, ever written by a group of individuals - then re-written and selectively edited by zealots to serve the ends of their masters.

No I was more wondering if it had more to do with plans laid down by architects, and if so if they were original plans or just misconceptions and interpretations of them.
