My contract is coming to an end with Orange and it's time to start thinking of an upgrade, originally I was going to move to 3 but have been put off the idea. I'm now looking to stay with Orange (£30 pcm and 200 anytime minutes) and upgrade my handset - but to which one?
I'm looking at the Sony Ericson K750i - any comments on this phone as I don't want to be lumbered with a dud for the next 12 months.
Any other suggestions would be most welcome, want a good camera, seperate memory stick and good features/useability. Ideally Id hold out for the Nokia 8800 but have no idea when this will come to Orange at a sensible price.

I am in the same boat. Take a look at Vodafone, I am going to move from Orange. 200 mins free X network with 150 texts and if you sign up for 18months you get the 60 for 3 offer, i.e 60 mins natter in the evening and weekend for only 3 mins off your free calls!

I have a K750i and can honestly say on the back of the camera alone it is the dogs. Other then that it has been faultless, good battery, great screen and lots of fairly useful (and useless) features.
Photos are quite amazing for a camera phone (I'd stick some up but at 1632 x 1224 px I'd kill my bandwith) autofocus as well. The video feature is standard fare and not up to much though.
I got mine from vodafone.co.uk as they had by far the best deal at the time, but wouldn't recommend them because I had a huge amount of hassle.
So K750i, perfect phone. Vodafone (both the online store and the rest of the company - terrible customer service, but best deal for me at the time)

Thats exactly the combo I ordered then. All I can say is be very careful. They didn't deliver mine when they said they would (and put the date back a few times) not once did they tell me, I had to chase them up every time and then to top things off my number was ported and I was left with no mobile and my number which is very important to me was left going to vodafone voicemail (with my sim sitting in some vodafone distribution centre) it took another hour on the phone to get them to actually do something, I asked for just the SIM to be sent out so at least I could use my number but they don't do that by courier so I had to have another phone in the meantime.
Log every call you make to them. Their call center monkeys are useless.
Now I've got the phone it's great and there is no problems to report with the service.

I have a 750 on Vodaphone.
It is my third. If you do a search for 750 problems on google, you will see they have had a few problems. Both my others keeps freezing up. My third is ok, and I would say it is one of the best phones I have ever had.
FAR FAR better than the 700i.
Just get a good one.

Yep definatly an improvement on the 6230 (Which was still a great phone)
The key pad is easier to use, the screen is of a better quality and a few other little niggles have been ironed out such as when people call you their name comes up in a white box instead of just being text against the "wallpaper". Not too much of an issue but it was difficult to see who was calling me when it was in the car kit.
I just need to get a different fasia for it as I don't like the silver one. (again when its in the car kit in the sunshine it reflects all the light at you). I'll try and pick up a plain black from ebay or something.
So far so good!
