I'm off to Riga on Thursday for stag weekend!! Although just heard it can be a little bit hairy (excuse the pun) has anybody been recently, and can offer some advice please?

A bit hairy in what way? There are some dodgy bits but it's lovely really. There are nicer places in Eastern Europe but I'd rather not send a stag do there are they are too nice.

If you are planning on being loud and lairy then you will find some locals who are equally loud and lairy will take a dislike to it.

Imagine how you would feel if a load of latvians (for example) came to your town every weekend and were really drunken and noisy. Remember those thoughts when you go to Riga. The residents of Prague etc. must get so annoyed with loutish behaviour...

Sorry this isn't a condemnation of what you're doing and I hope you have a lovely time, but please treat the locals with respect and consideration and remember you are a representative of your country
