Well, they didn't vist the same neighborhood. There are hundreds of miles between the six landing sites. However the landing zones were restricted to a band around the equator because of the limitations of the Saturn V rocket in placing the Apollo Command/Service/Lunar Modules on a trajectory to the moon.
The mission planners tried to pick sites that had different topographical features from each other so as to maximise the geology that could be studied. Other limitations were general safety and also the sun angles present on the moon during the missions' stay periods on the lunar surface.
Apollo 11 landed on the moon on July 20 1969. Armstrong set foot on the surface later in the day. In actual fact, in the UK he actually made his "one small step" in the early hours of the morning of July 21.

The moon landings were a triumph for whingers everywhere. Where would they be now if they couldn't say "They can put a man on the moon but they can't..."
The man who invented sliced bread was a bit stuck for words too. 'Well done Smithers, this is the best thing since - um - er...'
