I've heard it was cr*p (reviewer in Telegraph), my Brother seemed to like it though.

As to what is worth seeing-Fantastic 4 is supposed to be cr*p, but it does have Jessica Alba in it

I saw it a few days ago and thought it was ok. But agree with Gazboy, it's not a patch on Shrek/Nemo etc.

I enjoyed it, so did the kids. It is a light confection, and not to be taken too seriously. Hitchcock it ain't, but then it's not meant to be.

I thought the monkey pairing and their dry humour should have been given a few more lines, and the silly US Marines stylee penguins were amusing.

As for morality - this is Disney - what did you expect?!!

my wife and myself enjoyed it. not as good as other pixar movies but good anyway. And it cost us nothing to watch

Shark Tale, Madagascar, Ice Age and Shrek weren't done by Pixar.

They've moved it from 11-2005 to 06-2006 though. Oh well, just have to keep playing the preview for the little guy on my PC...

It was a bit slow, and didn't have the humour rate of the others by Pixar. But some of the jokes were pretty good, and it kept me entertained for an hour or so. And the cinema bankrupted me.

Wasn't there a Robot one out a short while ago? Not seen that on DVD yet though

Edit: yes there was, because it's coming out in September and apparently I pre-ordered it on play.com in June!

There are two major camps of animated film, those that come from Pixar (Toy Story, A Bugs life, Toy Story 2, Monster Inc, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles) and those that come from Dreamworks (Antz, Shrek, Shrek2, Shark Tale, Madagasgar).

You can always bank on the films from Pixar been good, but with Dreamworks it's a very hit&miss affair. The Shrek series seems to be the only they have done right IMO. Then again, Dreamworks in a producer & Pixar an animation house...

That's "cars" isn't it.... I saw a trailer ages ago but it seemed to disappear without a trace. That looks like one for cinema AND DVD to me
