Shared Ownership

Right guys,

I'm going to the Estate Agents tomorrow to have a look at a 50% Shared Ownership Flat near me in Basildon.

The Flat is up @ £55,000
1 Bedroom second floor property (Which means loft & no Tw@t's above me causing all manner of noise) Allocated Parking, Security Access.

Now on my current Salary I can get £70k but this isnt anywhere near enough to buy somewhere outright :cry:

So do you think the Shared ownership place is a good option?
What would I expect to be paying the council as rent each month on top of my mortgage?
