Flippy flippy on the beach.....

Just back from a walk on a big beach near me that you can drive on. Lots of learners shunting about the place and generally a few chavs twatting about.

Including one incredible idiot teenager out in daddys year 2000 Vectra pulling handbrakes at each end of the beach. Pulling his last handbraker, the rear tyre blows, car does 2 full rolls and lands on it's wheels. 4 of them in the car and very lucky to get away with a few broken bones and concussion. Car completly written off.

Quite a sight, I'll tell you.

Good job he did it on a beach and not a busy road. Everybody has at least one accident in them when they discover the edge of the envelope (including me). Let's hope it sobered him up a bit.

There was beer bottles in the car, but I'm not going to tarnish him as I don't know if the driver was drinking.

You should publicise this a bit more.

It might get more of the idiots to go and play their games off road thus leaving the roads safer for the rest of us

Cool idea but it's in Ireland and the poor darlings would get lost at the first road junction!

Dollymount beach. If you look at a map of Dublin, it's the big sand spit in the middle of the bay, a good couple of miles long.

But theres no signs for it, so Ssschhhh!!!

What a quality accident

Was the beach pretty empty, or was this clown endangering others as well as himself? I can definitely see the appeal of messing around on a huge beach but not if there's others around - too much risk.

No, it's a well used beach for learner drivers, walkers, runners, kite surfers and those cool 3-wheeled kite buggy things. Generally quite busy on an evening like this. The Gardaí (cops) do regular drive throughs in the evenings as it is famous for chavs flying around.

When the tide is out, the beach is huge, as in this evening. However the idiot flipped it at the top of the beach beside parked cars and walkers. Evidently, he was trying to show off as much as possible, where everyone could see him.

I'd love to have a go at hooning on a deserted beach - wouldn't it seriously screw up the underside of the car though (corrosion)?

I would suppose so. I got to do it in my old co. Shogun on a beach in the north west (Mayo/Donegal area). Some people got stuck miles down as the tide was coming in, so off I went in and out of surf, through dunes and river crossings! Incredible fun. Kept it sane though. Company car, so didn't really give a care.

This kid will have the book thrown at him as far as I could gather.
