Mickey D's(as we call them here)are locally owned franchises; therefore, the local owner needs better skills at either management or staff-picking.
I think it's a franchise... hence there are McDs that are generally okay and some that are perpetually dreadful.
Anyway, I never drive through - if you do you always get a half portion of fries and the last Big Mac from the old batch. If you go inside, they're more conscientious. So go inside then take it back to the car to avoid all the screaming children, and their children.

A Cajun original Popeyes Fried Chicken & Biscuits make KFC taste like a sun-dried dog turd! Everywhere they open here, especially up north where the Yankees live, they are a hit! If you get a chance, try them...just remember to order the "spicy" version.

I loved 'Supersize Me' by Morgan Spurlock. In fact so much so the first thing I did was go out and buy 2 Big Mac Meals (Supersize of course) and a Quarterpounder with Cheese. Ate the lot.
8 years of vegetarianism wiped out in an instant.

its those antiquated, crappy, impossible to dechiper even with an enigma machine, speakers they usually have.
Of course that means you can have lots of fun messing with the McMinions heads by ordering strange items or using another language or wearing a gorilla suit to pick up your order (of 12 banana burgers
). God my friends and I used to have some stupid fun at McDs expense. So immature, yet so satisfyingly funny

So immature, yet so satisfyingly funny I used to enjoy their food, but these days a quarter pounder with slease just leaves me feeling sodomised. I guess Ive grown out of it, I cant stomach that synnthesized burger-flesh meat-mix anymore.
But their chocolate shakes hit the spot ok. On the last half dozen occasions that I've rolled up to the drive by chaos window and ordered one, they've only actually had choc shakes in stock once.
Edited to add, we recon fatty at our local collection window horse-bags the meals before handing them over, which explains the 'always half empty' drive through phenomenon.

Not all are franchises, some are but some are still company owned. At least in the UK, anyway. Franchises are still monitored by McD's though to ensure consistency of quality. In theory.
