Or you have to be in the right area. A lot of the houses/streets round my way were used for filimig Shaun of the Dead, but that doesn't happen every day. We all got leaflets through the door asking if we wanted our houses/gardens to be used.

Wrong. The criminals whose doors get kicked in on episodes of The Bill. Are they likely to be (a) extraordinarily beautiful or architecturally unique houses, or (b) council flats?
All sorts of properties get used. It's a case of whether it is worth the disruption it causes when filming inside with all the gear, cables and film crew taking over your property

not all programs need large beautiful houses, just look a the locations used by The Bill etc
The BBC used to film loads of stuff in Surbiton etc.
The Bill has been shot on Tolworth Broadway. Men Behaving Badly was filmed just round the corner from my old house, as was Stella Street etc...
And those houses were, erm... Vinegary.

Mind you, there seemed a fair bit of upheaval. Quite cool though with all the film hardware, crew etc outside.

It's a 1930s boarding house, but we've updated the insides since! The views are incredible, over the Kilbrannan Sound to the Isle of Arran. The hotel's pretty quiet in the winter, so it would liven the place up! I think it would be in demand, as it is pretty unique.
Just wanted to find out about it, as someone on TV was in this 'book.' They got £6000 for the Yaris Ad!
