Bit of a long shot here , Does anybody have any diagrams etc of the internals of an aga, Im in the middle of a refurb but have no idea how to set the thing up and im very reluctant to have to pay somebody to come and show me (£400) !!!!!

You can buy manuals/books on refurbishment and set up. I did see some for sale on ebay a while ago so it may be worth a look there.

Gas, oil, or solid fuel ??

Gas will need a corgi bloke to ensure insurance validity (probably)

Oil ones are normally pretty obvious, IIRC they're just concentric rings of oil with a level meter (like a float chamber) and a wick sits in the oil

Thanks for the replies. Its a gas one, ive got a plumber ready to connect it but im struggling with the base part of the cooker. I saw an ebook for sale on ebay yesterday but its not ther today.

I know when I was looking to service our own gas fired one a couple of months back, I could only find internal diagrams of oil fired Agas on the web.

Ended up biting the bullet and paying an authorised servicer to do the job.

Had a chap come and take a look at our gas boiler the other day. Left him for a couple of minutes, came back with a cup of tea for him and caught him interfering with our dog. Couldn’t do much about it as he was corgi registered.
