Yes, just think of the amount of money it has cost both the aqirport and the airlines for that security alert. Flights cancelled and they came within a whisker of shutting down the entire airport. Stupid tart deserves evrything she gets.

Whether she should be jailed or not depends on whether it was meant as a joke or whether she was serious.

It could be that it was a joke that went wrong because her friend was so stupid.

Thats why she told police what flight her friend was supposed to be on, her mobile phone number and described her. I don't think she sussed why her friend wanted her to do it and if you read the txt message, you could also read it as a serious message.

Her friend didn't do anything wrong. She simply passed on a message and actually told them the original message was from her stupid friend. When she was challenged about it being a hoax its fairly obvious she couldn't be sure as she felt it was out of character for her friend to do such a thing.

If the friend had obliged without saying anything - lock her up - but she told the Police everything from the start.

I'd go to plod and tell them the whole story if I was the friend - rather than ignore the request totally in case the friend was in some kind of trouble. Certainly wouldnt phone in a bomb threat for somebody though.

Stripey daylight for both of them, although only for the friend if she could be shown to know it was a hoax (ie isnt totally retarded). That's for the courts to decide though, charge them both certainly.
