Import duty on PSP from Japan ?

PH Massive,
I would like to get a PSP and am looking to buy one from a well know supplier in Japan.

How much import duty / customs tax etc am I likely to get hit with ?

22% or so and £10 customs charge if delivered/paid by courier service, £1.20 or so if royal mail.

Our wonderful government charge the 22% (ish) on the cost of the item PLUS the cost of shipping/insurance.

Plenty available in the UK now so I wouldnt import one myself.

These guys: - www.lik-sang.com/info.php?products_id=2979 are doing free shipping at the moment.

So I'm looking at 200 quid IF the package gets hit.

Where in the UK can I get one at the right price ?

electricbirdland.co.uk were selling them. They got a cease and desist order from Sony, and made lots of noise about fighting it. Maybe they have some?

firebox.com also had some, but I'm pretty sure they've capitulated to Sony

I made sure to get one that was already in england from ebay, more risky that way but i've been screwed on import duty before, he's right though official UK ones are out in 3 weeks, plus if something goes wrong you don't have to send it all the way back to Japan.
