What's the most you've ever eaten in a day ?

Dunno, but an old girlfriend once foolishly bet that she could eat 8 Big Macs in an hour. I lost £100 (and the cost of said Big Macs) because she made it in 58 minutes. She was a petite girl as well, so the macs were actually visible. Yuck.
LOL. I'm seeing Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke and those eggs .....

In one day? Thats a toughie.
There was one day in college on the beer when I had a massive full Irish brekkie (6 eggs, 4 sausages, 6 bacon, beans, mushrooms, couple hash browns, waffles, onion, toast to beat the band, black and white pud, tomato and a bowl of cereal). We then had dinner in the canteen, a McDonalds on the way in to town, a Burger King in there after a while (mid afternoon), back to the college bar where we had two Chinease takeaways delivered, pints till late and a burger and chips on the way home.
Quite a bit really. But spread out over a day, not too bad.
I did eat 5 12" pizzas in an eat all you can in 10 mins competition.
I'm not fat, It's big bones.

.

I went on a college trip to Italy once (as lecturer). When we arrived it was about 1030pm. I was staying at the home of an English teacher. For dinner I was presented with a plate and offered pasta. Unbeknown to me this was just the starter. Imagine my horror when they brought out the main course
Desert was to follow too
Being English, I felt compelled to eat everything that was presented to me.
For the whole week myself and the students were treated like kings and queens. All the girls, 16-20, were complaining bitterly about the negative impact on their figure. I bought a skirt out there which was two, yes two, dress sizes two big - that's how much my waist expanded. Thankfully we all got back to our usual shape on the return and I made a trip to the tailor.
I once went to a friend's Sikh wedding. Four of us got lost looking for the wedding breakfast when we stumbled upon a group of gentlemen eating some food. We thought it was a bit low key, but tucked in anyway. Someone eventually enlightened us as to our mistake, but only after we had had lots of curry and chappatis. We then made our way across Leicester to the real wedding feast. There were so many courses I lost count. I thought that I was going to die.

Magaluf. Boy's holiday. '97.
Some of our group go for breakfast. I join them and eat starter plus the 2lb steak (with all the trimmings, chips, bread rolls etc etc) followed by the biggest god damn sundae you've ever seen.
Lunch and another of the same. Gets to about 7 o'clock and half the group go for food. Same again. We get back to the hotel and the other half are just leaving, so I join them and have another round.
So, 8lbs of steak (+extras) in less than 12 hours.
To be honest, I eat like a couple of horses anyway. At my peak I was eating 2 chickens a day (one per meal) and between 5-7 meals a day. Snacking on packets of bagels, fruit, nuts. Not uncommon for me to eat 10 bagels (cinnamon & raisin, of course) during the course of a day. Elevenses used to be a big box of pasta salad with pesto, cheese and italian meats. My workmates weighed it one day and it came in at 1.24kg.
Once had a chinese with 21 other people. We ordered too much. Everybody had finished and the dishes just kept getting passed around the tables until they got to me - like some production line. No idea of exact quantity, but I am banned from their Sunday buffet and the the whole incident was described as 'unnatural'.
I'm tall, but I'm only 14st and very lean. God help me if my metabolism slows down suddenly. Though when it does, I might finally be able to afford the Koenigsegg I'm pining for.
Gruffy
Has anybody else noticed that it isn't usually the 'larger' people who can eat the most? All about the stretchy stomach and the metabolism

I have had a few good meals in my time, esp. the ferry back from le Mans!
But my most proud single moment was on the way back from a night out in Ibiza, my mates ordered really good baguettes so I thought fair enough.
I put all my money down on the counter and told the guy to give me something for the money, he said nothing on the menu cost that much, I said 'improvise'.
They were so impressed that they got a photo of me and them and the sandwich and put it on the wall

, with myself proudly winning the pure weight gain (weighed before and after at the local bus station) of 3.1kg. The 7stone girl on the trip managed a very credible 1.8kg (best percentage weight gain!!).
